Paying for fast-track orders

For fast-track orders, payment timing matters as much as artwork. Production starts only once payment has cleared, so this guide explains how to pay, how surcharges are calculated and how to avoid payment delays pushing your job past a cutoff.

How surcharges are calculated

All tiers are based on the listed Standard price:

  • Economy: 10% less
  • Standard: listed price
  • Express: +20%
  • Same-day: +30% (eligible items)
  • Overnight: +40% (eligible items)

For example, an order listed at R1,000 on Standard would be R900 on Economy, R1,200 on Express, R1,300 on Same-day and R1,400 on Overnight. Courier or delivery, if needed, is quoted separately.

Ways to pay

  • Card through Yoco: paid online at checkout and confirmed immediately. This is the safest choice for overnight and same-day jobs.
  • EFT: counts once the payment reflects in our account. Payments between different banks can take longer to reflect than you expect.

If you pay by EFT for an urgent job, do it as early as possible and send proof of payment, but bear in mind that production starts when the money reflects, not when the proof is sent.

Full payment and deposits

  • Orders under R5,000: paid in full before production.
  • Orders of R5,000 or more: a 65% deposit before production starts, with the balance settled before collection or dispatch.

For an overnight job, the full payment or the 65% deposit must have cleared by 1:00 PM. For same-day, by 09:00.

Company orders and approvals

If your company needs a quote or pro forma before paying, request a quote early. Internal approvals and payment runs can take longer than the print job itself. For a recurring need, it helps to get a quote approved in advance so that payment can be made quickly when the urgent job arrives.

Saving money on fast-track print

  • Only fast-track the items that are genuinely urgent; put the rest on Standard or Economy.
  • Split a job: a small quantity overnight to cover tomorrow, the bulk on Standard.
  • Plan regular items such as business cards and letterheads ahead so they never become urgent.
