Two main materials
- Correx: light, fluted plastic board that handles rain. Used for event directions, estate notices, campaign posters and show-day signs.
- Foam board: light board with a smooth face for indoor use. Used for seating plans, presentation boards, exhibition panels and photo displays.

Using the filters
Filter by size, material, finish and turnaround. If you need the job tomorrow morning, select Overnight under turnaround first, then pick from what remains.
- Size: A3 to A0 and custom.
- Material: correx or foam board.
- Finish: single- or double-sided and options such as holes, where offered.
Choosing the right board
Ask two questions: will it be outdoors, and how close will people be? Outdoors means correx. Indoors and viewed up close, such as a seating plan or a presentation, means foam board. For pavement signs, check whether your A-frame takes paper behind a cover or a rigid insert.
Artwork tips
- Set the file to the board size or an exact scale.
- Keep content at least 10mm from the edges and away from hole positions.
- Use large lettering for signs read from a distance.
- For directional signs, prepare each arrow direction as its own design.
Timing and transport
Overnight needs the order, approved artwork and cleared payment by 1:00 PM on a weekday. Collect from Shop L23, Rivonia Central from 8:30 AM. Large boards need a vehicle they fit in flat or upright; foam board dents if pressed. Courier is arranged and quoted. Related: Overnight Posters and Exhibition Displays.
Typical rigid board orders
- A set of directional correx signs for a school open day or function venue.
- A foam board seating plan and welcome sign for a wedding.
- Estate notices for a residents' meeting or road closure.
- Foam board panels for a pitch, design review or exhibition stand.
- Show-day signs for property sales.
Directional sign sets are a good example of where preparation pays off: create left, right and straight-ahead versions once and reuse the files for every event.
