Overnight wedding stationery printing

Invitations go out months ahead, but the on-the-day stationery is usually finalised in the last week: seating changes, a revised menu, a programme that now includes another reading. The overnight run is useful for those last-minute pieces.

On-the-day stationery

  • Ceremony programmes, folded or as small booklets.
  • Menus for each place setting.
  • Place cards and table numbers.
  • Seating plan as a large poster or mounted on foam board.
  • Welcome and directional signs.
  • Thank-you cards and favour stickers.

Keep a consistent look

Use the same fonts, colours and motifs across every piece. If a designer created your invitations, ask them for print-ready PDFs of each on-the-day item at the same time, so you are not waiting on them the week of the wedding. Our team can also help with layouts at an extra cost.

The final-week plan

  • Two weeks before: print signs, welcome board and anything that will not change, on Standard or Economy.
  • Final week: lock the seating plan and menu, then print place cards, table numbers and menus.
  • Two days before: keep the overnight run as backup for last-minute seating or programme changes.

Weddings are mostly on weekends. The shop is closed on Saturdays, so anything for a Saturday wedding should be collected by Friday afternoon, which means an overnight order approved and paid by Thursday at 1:00 PM.

Ordering and collection

Pricing by speed: Economy 10% less (about 5 working days), Standard at the listed price (about 3 working days), Express +20% (next working day), Same-day +30% (eligible items, by 09:00) and Overnight +40% (eligible items, by 1:00 PM). Collect from Shop L23, Rivonia Central, opposite NewsCafe Rivonia, or arrange a quoted courier to you or your planner. Couples marrying at venues in areas like Lanseria, Kyalami or Benoni often collect on the Friday on their way to set-up.

Frequently asked questions

Can I print place cards the day before the wedding?
For a weekday deadline, an overnight order approved by 1:00 PM is ready next morning. For a Saturday wedding, collect by Friday, so order by Thursday 1:00 PM.
Can you match my invitation design?
If you supply the design files or PDFs, we can print matching pieces. Design help is available at an extra cost.
Can stationery be delivered to the venue?
We can arrange and quote a courier. Make sure someone is there to receive it.
